Play synopsis:
“Misc.” follows Bea and Jasmine, two half-Asian, half-white actors who have forged a friendship in the waiting rooms of countless auditions in Sydney. Bonded by a unique cultural experience, the two girls comically try to navigate their way through an industry that doesn’t quite know what to do with them. Though their friendship is strengthened through self-taping, drunken shenanigans and stark white boyfriends, they are inevitably put at odds with each other when few roles become even fewer. “Misc.” is a story of cultural identity, friendship, and learning to make room for yourself.
